I use fresh or frozen peaches and sometimes half and half with fresh or frozen blueberries. We like lots of fruit so I use more than called for.
I am diabetic and sweeten my fruit with Splenda and use Splenda for half of the sugar called for. It works fine.

 A dear sweet co-worker gave me a tip concerning this pie....add a teaspoon of vanilla to the flour, milk, sugar mixture. It makes it even more delicious. Try it and see!

I love this recipe !! I've used it for years but I do not drain my peaches and I only use the Butter to grease the pan. Always turns out good.
Would recommend this to everyone I know & out there that wants something easy and fast for dessert. Michael

I have used this recipe a few times now and like to change it up a little bit once in a while.. its nice with about 1\3 of the white sugar switched to brown or if you like those sauce and cake things you can pour some of the peach syrop on top of the batter... this recipe might be the "lazy" way but it sure tastes just as good
